Ramona and I have been working in her Gaultier notebook of fashion designs. While visiting the exhibit of his work in June, I bought a great book of Croquis figures. There are so many cool things like this for kids now! So many of my friends and I used to spend hours drawing "fashion girls." Back in the day, I'd get out my grandmother's the Marie Claire magazine, trace or copy a good body position and THEN draw on the clothes. Took a lot of time and the silos were never so wonderfully proportioned as what you see here. Finally my mom asked a fabric store for a discarded McCalls pattern catalog and we cut up the long-legged ladies and used them for the fit models and paper dolls. She doesn't like to do faces but does create excellent names like Drama Mama and Boltz.
